X-Men: Days of Future Past Adds Twilight's Stewart, Cudmore with Fan Bingbing
Director Bryan Singer has confirmed that original X-Men trilogy and Twilight saga star Daniel Cudmore will reprise his role as Colossus aka Peter Rasputin in X-Men: Days of Future Past, the follow-up to 2011's X-Men: First Class.
Colossus is a mutant with the superhuman ability to convert the tissue of his entire body into an organic steel-like substance. Days of Future Past will be Cudmore's third time playing the popular character.
Bryan Singer revealed the news via a Twitter photo of cast headshots that also included The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Boo Boo Stewart and Chinese actress Fan Bingbing (Battle of the Warriors).

Fan Bingbing is playing the villain Blink, a mutant who possesses the ability to teleport people and objects. Boo Boo Stewart has been cast in an unknown role.
Cudmore, Stewart and Bingbing join original-trilogy cast members Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore with X-Men: First Class stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and James McAvoy.
The film is inspired by Chris Claremont and John Byrne's comic book storyline that ran in "Uncanny X-Men" #141 and 142 back in 1981. "Days of Future Past" introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released by 20th Century Fox on July 18, 2014.
