X-Men: Apocalypse: Ben Hardy Confirmed as Angel, Concept Art Revealed

Director Bryan Singer has confirmed that former 'EastEnders' star Ben Hardy will play Angel in X-Men: Apocalypse. Singer also revealed new concept art of the character with and without his wings spread.

The winged mutant is one of the founding five members of the X-Men who appear in The X-Men #1 (September 1963) comic book.

"Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you!" Singer told Empire magazine. "But he's not a very nice Angel! And that's all I'll say…"
