Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jay Hernandez Join Suicide Squad

Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jay Hernandez have joined the ensemble cast of Warner Bros.' antihero comic book adaptation Suicide Squad.
Joel Kinnaman (Run All Night, RoboCop) will replace actor Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg, the team leader. Jay Hernandez (Friday Night Lights) is in negotiations to join the cast in an as yet unknown role.
Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder) is nearing a multi-picture deal to play Suicide Squad boss, Amanda Waller and Jesse Eisenberg (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) is in talks to reprise his upcoming role as Lex Luthor.
David Ayer (Fury) is directing the action adventure starring Will Smith as Deadshot; Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn; Jared Leto as the Joker; Jai Courtney as Boomerang; and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.
'Suicide Squad' centers on a team of incarcerated supervillains who undertake missions in exchange for commuted prison sentences.
The film is slated for release on August 5, 2016.
