The Origin of Species According to Growing Pains' Kirk Cameron
I don't know about you but whenever I ponder the subject of biology the first name that comes to mind is 'Growing Pains' actor Kirk Cameron.
Christian Fireproof and Left Behind star Kirk Cameron is coming under fire for his plan to redistribute Charles Darwin's "The Origin of Species" for its 150th Anniversary with a controversial new 50-page foreword that compares natural selection to Nazi eugenics and calls Darwin, who was once an outspoken Christian himself, a male chauvinist and a great deceiver among other things.
Talk About Your Growing Pains
Apparently Cameron has no idea that Darwin's observations have been widely debated since 1859 by the scientific community and reconciled in the all-encompassing Modern Evolutionary Synthesis.
Cameron who mistakenly thinks biology is some form of religion and Darwinism espouses atheism says "Atheism has been on the rise for years now, and the Bible of the atheists is The Origin of Species." "We have a situation in our country where young people are entering college with a belief in God and exiting with that faith being stripped and shredded. What we want to do is have student make an informed, educated decision before they chuck their faith."
Kirk Cameron says he will be going to the "Top 50 Colleges" and giving away 1,000 free copies of the book. Charles Darwin's "The Origin of Species" is public domain.
