Rebecca Hall Joins Iron Man 3

Rebecca Hall is in talks to join the cast of Disney/Marvel's superhero sequel Iron Man 3, being directed by Shane Black.

Hall (The Town, The Prestige) would play a scientist who helps to create nanotechnology that winds up being sold to terrorists. The role was originally intended for Jessica Chastain (The Help, The Tree of Life) but she dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

Robert Downey Jr. returns as billionaire Tony Stark and his superhero alter ego Iron Man, along with Gwyneth Paltrow. Guy Pearce and Andy Lau are on board with Ben Kingsley set to play the villain. Iron Man 3 is slated for a May 3, 2013 release date. Source: Variety
