Pre-production has begun in Pontiac, Michigan on Zack Snyder's eagerly awaited Man of Steel sequel Batman vs. Superman, reports Detroit Free Press.
Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac will play a key role in what's considered the biggest movie shoot ever to land in the state. The studio complex is serving as home to production offices for the Warner Bros./DC Entertainment project.
When filming starts next year, all seven of the sound stages will be used. Batman vs. Superman is expected to occupy the complex through August 2014. The film plans to shoot at the Pontiac studio as well as at locations throughout the state.
Batman vs. Superman will feature the return of Henry Cavill as Superman, facing off against Ben Affleck as Batman. In addition, the film will mark the big screen debut of Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot.
