Paramount Pictures has entered into a long term distribution agreement with Lotte Entertainment to market and distribute a number of the studio's upcoming and future releases in Korea.
The Korean entertainment company will release Mission: Impossible 5, starring Tom Cruise, in Korea on July 30, 2015 – one day ahead of North America and Terminator Genisys, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Korean star Lee Byung-hun, on July 2.
"We very much look forward to beginning this long-term arrangement with Lotte and know that they will bring a tremendous amount of enthusiasm, along with their expert marketing and distribution capabilities, to every one of our upcoming films set for release in Korea," said Mark Viane, Paramount's Co-President of International Theatrical Marketing & Distribution.
"Together we will be in the best position to introduce more of Paramount's exciting slate to local audiences. We are looking forward to a successful partnership over the years to come," said Won Chun Cha, CEO of Lotte Entertainment.
Lotte has previously had success distributing other Paramount titles, including 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' in 2011 and 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' in 2014. Source: Deadline.com
