John Lithgow and Mackenzie Foy Board 'Interstellar'

John Lithgow and Mackenzie Foy have joined the cast of director Christopher Nolan's Interstellar starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, and Casey Affleck.

12-year-old Mackenzie Foy (The Conjuring) is best known for playing Bella and Edward's half-human, half-vampire child Renesmee in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

Oscar-nominated actor John Lithgow most recently appeared in Judd Apatow's comedy This Is 40.

Paramount and Warner Bros are teaming on the epic sci-fi movie that follows a heroic group of explorers who travel through a wormhole into another dimension.

The story is based on a script by Jonathan Nolan. The film will be produced by Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy) of Syncopy Films and Obst of Lynda Obst Productions. Caltech physicist Kip Thorne serves as a technical consultant on the project.

Interstellar will be released in theaters and IMAX on November 7, 2014.
