Gerard Butler stars in Dean Devlin's sci-fi adventure Geostorm, being developed by David Ellison's Skydance Productions. Devlin co-wrote Independence Day and 1998's Godzilla. The story follows a satellite designer (Butler) who has to work together with his estranged brother to save the world from a man-made storm of epic proportions when the world's climate-controlling satellites malfunction.

Plot Summary

A stubborn but charming satellite designer (Gerard Butler) has to work together with his estranged brother to save the world from a man-made storm of epic proportions when the world's climate-controlling satellites malfunction. A trip into space follows, while on Earth a plot to assassinate the president begins to unfold.
