Frank Grillo to Play Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The Grey star Frank Grillo has landed the role of the villainous Crossbones in Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, reports Variety.

Grillo (End of Watch) will join Chris Evans who returns as the star-spangled hero "Captain America" along with Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (who becomes the assassin Winter Soldier) and Anthony Mackie as the Falcon.

The second installment will pick-up where the highly anticipated "Marvel's The Avengers" leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.

Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are directing the action adventure from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is slated for an April 4, 2014 release.
