Christopher Meloni Up For Superman 'Man of Steel'
Christopher Meloni, best known for his work on NBC's 'Law & Order: SVU', is in final negotiations for a major role in Man of Steel, which has Zack Snyder on board to direct for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures – reports Deadline. Meloni could play Lois Lane's hard-nosed father General Sam Lane or Superman's archenemy Lex Luthor opposite Henry Cavill, who stars as the new Clark Kent/Superman in the film. Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond are also in negotiations to play Jor-El and Lara, Superman's Kryptonian parents.
Christopher Meloni most recently voiced the comic book character Green Lantern in the Warner Premiere direct-to-video animated film 'Green Lantern: First Flight'.
