Calista Flockhart Boards CBS's Supergirl

Calista Flockhart has joined the cast of CBS's live-action Supergirl TV pilot.
Flockhart (Brothers & Sisters, Ally McBeal) will star as a potential series regular in the role of Cat Grant, employer of Kara Zor-El a.k.a. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist).
Cat is described as a self-made media magnate and founder of CatCo. She started her career as a reporter and has built her company into a global powerhouse. Kara (Melissa Benoist) works as her assistant.
In the DC Comics universe Catherine 'Cat' Grant is a well-known gossip columnist for the Daily Planet and one of Clark Kents romantic interests and Lois Lane's rival.
Actress Tracy Scoggins first played the character in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, followed by actress Keri Lynn Pratt on Smallville.
