Anne Hathaway Confirms Catwoman

Anne Hathaway confirms that she will play Catwoman in 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Oscar co-host Anne Hathaway sat down with Oprah on Monday and confirmed her Catwoman casting.

Hathaway revealed that she was waiting to find out if she would be cast as Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises when she received the call to host the Oscars. Warner Bros. previously announced in a press release that Hathaway would play Selina Kyle but did not mention the Catwoman character she becomes.

February 2, 2011 – Access Hollywood caught up with Anne Hathaway on the red carpet at the "Rio" press event in L.A.. Access talked to Hathaway about her character in the 3D animated movie Rio, the 83rd Academy Award promos and her upcoming hosting duties with Oscar nominee James Franco. It didn't take long before the conversation turned to The Dark Knight Rises. Hathaway has been completely silent on whether or not she would actually portray Catwoman onscreen, until now.

Access Hollywood: Lets talk about Catwoman. How excited are you for that?

Anne Hathaway: Nods her head "yes"

Access Hollywood: Yeah?

Hathaway: Yeah.

Access Hollywood: Are we going to be seeing you in the tight leather outfit?

Hathaway: I can't tell you a thing.

So there you have it. We will definitely see Catwoman in 'The Dark Knight Rises'. I don't know about the "tight leather outfit?"
