Independence Day 2 Finds Its Lead

Starz 'Survivor's Remorse' actor Jessie Usher has landed the lead role in director Roland Emmerich's alien sci-fi sequel Independence Day 2.

Usher will portray the son of Will Smith's character from the first film. His film credits include Sony's football drama 'When the Game Stands Tall'.

Dean Devlin, Emmerich and Harald Kloser are producing 'Independence Day 2'.

'Independence Day' starred Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Randy Quaid, Vivica A. Fox, Mary McDonnell, Judd Hirsch, Robert Loggia and Mae Whitman.
